In an area of extreme poverty where most students struggle with nutrition at home, our school's nutrition program is a lifeline. Without it, many of our students would only receive one meal per day, if that. Shockingly, 1 in 4 students in Rwanda suffer from stunting due to malnutrition. Hungry kids lack the energy to focus in the classroom, perpetuating a cycle of disadvantage.
