You’re Invited to The Joy Gathering! 

On September 19th, we’re inviting you and your whole family to The Joy Gathering!

This special evening is a chance for our City of Joy family to come together, slow down, and intentionally connect with your sponsor students we love in Rwanda.

The Joy Gathering will be a free, 2-hour event beginning at 5:00 PM at Bloomsburg Christian Church.

Throughout the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to:

 Spend time in prayer — We’ll have prayer stations focused on different areas of City of Joy, our students, teachers, families, and the work happening in Rwanda.

Write letters to your students — A simple letter can mean so much! We will provide letter writing prompts and assistance for students of all ages! 

Make crafts and create something special — There will be crafts for both kids and adults to enjoy, with opportunities to make things that can be shared with your student in Rwanda.

Learn more about Rwanda and City of Joy — Come learn more about the people, culture, schools, projects, and students your generosity helps support.

Eat, fellowship, and enjoy time together — This evening is simply a chance to gather as a City of Joy family and celebrate what God is doing.

We’ll also have some special guests joining us! Jon Coughlin, President of City of Joy, will be there to share with us, while Emmy, our Executive Director, and Paul, our Sponsorship Coordinator, will be joining us over Zoom from Rwanda!  Chad Taylor, Ed Keller, & Skip Hare who are all a part of our board on the United States side! 

Whether you’ve been part of City of Joy for years or are newer to our community, we would love to have you there. Bring your family, and feel free to invite a friend who may want to learn more about City of Joy and the work happening in Rwanda.
